2. General Instructions and Mandatory Information

Data protection

The operators of these pages take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy.
When you use this website, various personal data will be collected. Personal data is data by which you can be personally identified. This privacy policy explains which data we collect and what we use it for. It also explains how and for what purpose this is done.
We would like to point out that data transmitted via the internet (e.g. when communicating by email) may be subject to security gaps. Complete protection of the data from third-party access is not possible.

Notice concerning the party responsible for this website

The party responsible for data processing on this website is:

CompuTerra Hard- und Software GmbH
Kirchgasse 2
D-65185 Wiesbaden

Managing Director: Christian Zendo

Phone: +49 611 / 996833-0
Email: post@computerra.de

The responsible party is the natural or legal person who alone or jointly with others decides on the purposes and means of the processing of personal data (e.g. names, email addresses, etc.).

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke any consent you have already given at any time. An informal communication by email to us is sufficient for this purpose. The lawfulness of data processing carried out before the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data which we process on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract automatically delivered to yourself or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another responsible party, this will only be done to the extent that it is technically feasible.

SSL or TLS encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from „http://“ to „https://“ and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transfer to us cannot be read by third parties.

Within the framework of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right at any time and free of charge to information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient, and the purpose of data processing, and if necessary a right to correction, blocking, or deletion of this data. We hereby object to the use of contact data published under the obligation to provide a legal notice for sending unsolicited advertising and informational materials. The operators of these pages expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of the unsolicited sending of advertising information, for example through spam emails.

3. Data Collection on Our Website

Cookies

Some of the internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies do not harm your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our website more user-friendly, effective, and secure. Cookies are small text files which are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.
Most of the cookies we use are so-called „session cookies.“ They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser next time you visit.
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies, allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.
Cookies that are necessary to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions requested by you (e.g. the shopping cart function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies for analyzing your browsing behavior) are stored, they are dealt with separately in this privacy policy.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources.
The basis for data processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, which permits the processing of data for the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.

Contact form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
The processing of the data entered into the contact form is therefore exclusively based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke this consent at any time. An informal message by email to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out before the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data you enter in the contact form remains with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions—especially retention periods—remain unaffected.

4. Analysis Tools and Advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics uses so-called „cookies.“ These are text files that are stored on your computer and that allow an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
The storage of Google Analytics cookies is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior in order to optimize both its website and its advertising.

Browser Plugin

You can prevent the storage of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings in your browser software; however, please note that if you do so, you may not be able to use the full functionality of this website. In addition, you can prevent Google from collecting data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

Objection to data collection

You can prevent the collection of your data by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. An opt-out cookie will be set that prevents the collection of your data during future visits to this website: Disable Google Analytics.

For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, see Google’s privacy policy:
https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en

Google Analytics Remarketing

Our websites use the functions of Google Analytics Remarketing in conjunction with the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
This function makes it possible to link the advertising target groups created with Google Analytics Remarketing to the cross-device functions of Google AdWords and Google DoubleClick. In this way, interest-based, personalized advertising messages that have been adapted to you based on your past usage and browsing behavior on one device (e.g. smartphone) can also be displayed on your other devices (e.g. tablet or PC).
Once you have given the appropriate consent, Google will link your web and app browsing history with your Google account for this purpose. In this way, the same personalized advertising messages can appear on every device on which you sign in with your Google account.
To support this function, Google Analytics collects google-authenticated user IDs which are temporarily linked to our Google Analytics data to define and create target groups for cross-device advertising.
You can permanently opt out of cross-device remarketing/targeting by disabling personalized advertising in your Google account, following this link:
https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/
The summary of the data collected in your Google account takes place solely on the basis of your consent, which you can give to Google or withdraw (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). In the case of data collection processes not merged into your Google account (e.g. because you do not have a Google account or you have objected to the merging), the collection of data is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest arises from the fact that the website operator has an interest in the anonymized analysis of website visitors for advertising purposes.
Further information and the privacy policy can be found in Google’s privacy policy:

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is an online advertising program of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”).
Within the framework of Google AdWords, we use conversion tracking. When you click on an ad placed by Google, a cookie is set for conversion tracking. Cookies are small text files that the internet browser places on the user’s computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used to personally identify users. If the user visits certain pages of this website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and we can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. The cookies cannot be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained by means of the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. Customers learn the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive information that would allow them to personally identify users. If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can object to this use by easily deactivating the Google Conversion Tracking cookie in your internet browser under user settings. You will then not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
The storage of “conversion cookies” is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in analyzing user behavior, in order to optimize both its website and its advertising.
More information about Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking can be found in Google’s privacy policy:
https://www.google.de/policies/privacy/
You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, reject cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Disabling cookies may limit the functionality of this website.

5. Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you, as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and agree to receive the newsletter. No other data is collected or only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively for sending the requested information and do not pass it on to third parties.
The processing of the data entered into the newsletter subscription form is solely based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of data, the email address, and its use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example via the “unsubscribe” link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
The data you provide to us for the purpose of receiving the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter, and deleted after you cancel the newsletter. Data that we store for other purposes (e.g. email addresses for the members’ area) remains unaffected.

6. Plugins and Tools

This site uses the Google Maps map service via an API. The provider is Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
To use the functions of Google Maps, it is necessary to store your IP address. This information is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this site has no influence on this data transfer.
The use of Google Maps is in the interest of making our online services appealing and to make it easy to find the locations we list on the website. This constitutes a legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Google Tag Manager ensures the loading of other components that may in turn collect data. Google Tag Manager itself does not access this data. Further information about Google Tag Manager can be found in Google’s privacy policy.
Please note that U.S. authorities, such as intelligence services, may obtain access to personal data due to U.S. laws like the Cloud Act, which could be exchanged with Google inevitably when this service is integrated based on the internet protocol (TCP).
